Bridging Eastern and Western Psychiatry (BEWP) is a scientific journal and an association of Professionals, founded by Maria Luisa Figueira and Mario Di Fiorino (since 2002). It is a no-profit association of European psychiatrists, which promotes cultural exchanges between Eastern European psychiatrists, with a more nosological culture heavily based on classical psychiatric literature, and Western colleagues with a more pragmatic and evidence-based clinical practice.
